Sleep In Heavenly Peace Bed Build
The Shalimar Library is sponsoring a Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) bed build on 9 May 2026, starting at 8:00 am. SHP is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to building and delivering beds to children who do not have a bed of their own. Many children in our community sleep on the floor, couches, or crowded in bed with a parent. Through volunteer bed builds and donations, the local SHP Chapter provides a new bed, mattress, and bedding so that children can have a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
The Shalimar Library & Thrift Shop donates $3,000 to Shalimar Elementary School
New Monthly Book Club
The Shalimar Library is starting a new daytime book club that will meet monthly. The members will help choose meeting day & times and book selections. Planning is underway now, with a launch planned for March. Please join us!
